Rigaku brought together distributors from around the globe for a week of discussions at Rigaku's factories in Haijima and Yamanashi. The main goal of the meeting was to improve communications between Rigaku and its distributors, and among the distributors themselves. Distributor gave presentations about the nature of their respective marketplaces. Rigaku employees provided general product information, conveyed Rigaku's strategy, launched new products, conducted tours—including the new Yamanashi factory in the Japanese Alps—to increase distributor insight and motivation, and provided service and strategy training.
