Rigaku e-learning

Rigaku e-learning

Brief overview

Since its inception in 1951, Rigaku has been at the forefront of analytical and industrial instrumentation technology in the fields of general X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry etc. In addition to supplying analysis devices, we also provide training on how to use these instruments and master the analytical technique. We will be providing user training via the internet from this point forward.

Users can study anywhere and at any time using an internet browser on a PC. A training course consists of easy-to-follow slides, narrations, voice texts and quizzes that the user can study thoroughly. Furthermore, users can repeat the training course throughout the contract period.

Recommended customer

Training courses provide principles of measurement at a basic level. They are recommended for customers who are not familiar with the measurement technique. These include
  • People who use an analytical instrument but have difficulty finding time to study the scientific principles behind them
  • People who once studied the principles but have forgotten details and need a refresher course
  • Beginning users who have hand no previous training.
  • People who have taken the training course before but want to brush up on certain detail.

Training courses of Rigaku e-learning

English and Japanese versions, including slides and narration, are provided for basic and applied courses of X-ray powder diffraction (XRD).
Abstract of XRD training courses Amount for 180 deys

X-ray analysis is one of the key tools in non-destructive way to analyze all kinds of matter - ranging from liquids to solids, and is essential for material characterization and quality control in research, engineering and production line. In this course, starting from what X-rays are, you will learn the crystal system, Miller index, the principle and application of powder X-ray diffraction measurement, and general X-ray diffractometers (XRD) how to configure and use.

¥25,000 JPY (Tax-Excluded)

Powder XRD can readily measure powder and bulk samples when sample preparation and measurement conditions setup are properly made. Analytical chemistry consists of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis, which focus on identifying component and elements and finding a phase status in sample. In this training course, you will learn powder XRD for the measurement conditions and the qualitative analysis.

¥25,000 JPY (Tax-Excluded)

The fields of material research are diverse, with sample applications such as powder, liquid, nano material, and thin films. With XRD, powder shows material components identification, quantitative analysis, crystallite size and crystallinity, processed material shows residual stress and preferred orientation, thin film shows density and crystal quality. In this course, you will learn various sample evaluation methods by using XRD.
