ZSXmini Benchtop WDXRF—Elemental Analyzer for Pulp & Paper

ZSX Mini™ benchtop WDXRF elemental analyzer for pulp & paper

The Woodlands, TX — May 29, 2002. At PittCon 2002 in New Orleans, LA, Rigaku introduced the latest ZSXmini benchtop WDXRF cement analyzer. A full range, easy to use, bench top Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer at an affordable price, the ZSXmini's small footprint makes it a perfect choice for pulp, paper, and converting industry applications, either in the production environment or in the lab. It is also the perfect back up for on-line process control analyzers and for quantifying all aspects of the paper production process.

Inorganic fillers are an important ingredient of the paper making process, in order to achieve properties such as opacity, printability and gloss. For consistent quality, accurate measurements of these compounds are essential. The ZSXmini can rapidly, precisely, and non-destructively determine the elemental composition of filler constituents, also known as ash. In addition, the instrument can be used to measure the thickness of a variety of coatings on paper, plastic, or textile products, including: adhesives, silicone release agents, metallized films coatings, and fire retardants. All elements, from sodium through uranium may be quantified.
