Marketing Director (Automation)

SUMMARY

Rigaku Automation, Inc., a subsidiary of Rigaku Americas Corporation, located in Carlsbad, CA, is a world leader in robotic automation in the structural biology market. We are looking for a unique experienced business and marketing professional who possesses strong scientific and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to plan, direct, and coordinate the definition, development, and launch of the CrystalMation product line and services by performing the following duties or by leveraging cross-functional resources. Must be an experienced public speaker with good customer rapport. Requires 40% domestic/international travel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates business plans for assigned product(s) or product line(s) that establish marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of products and/or services.

• Develops and executes marketing plans and programs, including channel and partner relationship recommendations (both short and long range), to ensure the profit, growth and expansion of company products and/or services.

• Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial and technological factors to capitalize market opportunities and minimize the effects of competitor activity.

• Works closely with Sales, Corporate Marketing, and Customer Support to competitively differentiate and position products and resolve issues/problems that affect product success.

• Gathers data from market and customers to create marketing requirements and specifications. Supports the broad efforts of the product management group to assist in achieving corporate objectives.

• Coordinates product release schedule with development to ensure that releases achieve marketing objectives in addition to technical objectives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience at a director level, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's or Ph.D. in life sciences a+.

Application Scientist

Rigaku has an immediate opening for a motivated application scientist to join the Life Sciences group in our North American headquarters, located in The Woodlands, TX.

The successful candidate will join the world's leading provider of analytical X-ray equipment, assist in development and implementation of software improvements, and lead software and hardware demonstration/training sessions in support of both pre-sales and post-sales activities.

The candidate must have a PhD degree in a relevant field and have previous experience in protein crystallography. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, must be able to manage projects and deadlines effectively and should possess both a strong customer service ethic and strong technical troubleshooting skills. Additionally, candidates must be prepared and able to travel without restriction to X-ray facilities throughout North America, with possibility for international travel. Fluent English is required but does not need to be your first language. Preference will be given to scientists with hands-on experience in the use and maintenance of X-ray systems, familiarity with high-throughput automated systems, experience with teaching and a high level of aptitude in X-ray instrumentation and diffraction methods.

Sales and Marketing Manager (Prague)

Rigaku Innovative Technologies Europe in Prague (RITE) is a part of Rigaku Corporation Group 

RITE is responsible for sales and support within the Czech and Slovakian market of all Rigaku X-ray products in material science and quality control. In addition, RITE is developing, producing and marketing special optical components and cameras. New opportunities in emerging markets like solar energy, biotechnologies and nanotechnologies are asking for strengthening our team. Your duties are:

• Turning leads into accountable business
• Applying and developing marketing and sales concepts for Rigaku products and services in RITE's territory
• Visiting leads and customers and presenting Rigaku's innovative solutions
• Attending scientific conferences and shows
• Preparation of sales/marketing literature including quotations and other documentation

Your Profile:

• Degree in natural science (chemistry, physics etc.) or experience as a Sales and Marketing Manager in the analytical X-ray market
• Fluent in English and Czech/Slovak languages
• Skills for working in a team with multi -national culture
