Compression molded polypropylene

The SAXS pattern of compression molded polypropylene mat. The scattering image was taken on Rigaku S-Max3000 standard 2D SAXS system with three pinholes and the length of 3m in the Polymer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst MA. The X-ray source is a high brilliance MicroMax-002. The sample to detector distance was 1.5m. The crystallization of polymers and nanocomposites as well as the crystallite orientation can be studied using this SAXS camera.
