Director
Director works together with CameraMan and CrystalClear™ to control the collection and processing of large groups of crystals. The user first establishes a schedule table which provides crystal identification, associates a data collection and processing recipe for each crystal, and specifies the file locations for the collected and processed data.
In the Collect mode, the typical Director operations include:
- Mount or exchange the crystal
- Automatic or manual centering
- Collection of screen images
- Indexing, refinement, and a strategy calculations which creates a collection schedule
- Data collection
- Simultaneous data processing
In the Screen and Collect mode, there are typically two passes through the schedule table with the following operations
Screen Phase
- Mount or exchange the crystal
- Automatic or manual centering
- Collection of screen images
- Indexing refinement and strategy
- Ranking
Sorting Step
- Sort on rank. For example the user can group 6 crystals together and ask for data to be collected on the best 2.
- Sort on priority. Alternately the user can manually assign priorities
Collect Phase
- Remount the crystal
- Recenter the crystal
- Data collection
- Simultaneous data processing
Director requires CrystalClear and runs only on Windows® computers.
