Inch-based series magnetic rotary seal unit — rotary feedthrough
The unique Magnaseal design eliminates the grooved shafts found in competing products. These stronger, stiffer shafts provide higher torque ratings per shaft size and reduced gas bursting during rotation, especially if side loading is applied. Many models employ larger bearings as well. Most flanged models embody flanges and housings machined as a single piece for optimum vacuum integrity and alignment.These products are manufactured in the USA under Rigaku's US Patent 4,605,233. The balanced multi-magnet design covered by this patent means external magnetic fields are reduced.
All products are suitable for use at pressures as low as 10-8 torr. Operation at lower pressures may be feasible (contact Rigaku for application information). Pressure differentials of 2 atmospheres (in either direction) are allowable. Operating temperature must never exceed 100°C; continuous operation above 85°C is not recommended.
