X-ray fluorescence technology provides one of the simplest, most accurate and most economic analytical methods for the determination of the chemical composition of many types of materials. It is non-destructive and reliable, requires no, or very little, sample preparation and is suitable for solid, liquid and powdered samples. It can be used for a wide range of elements, from beryllium (4) to uranium (92), and provides detection limits at the ppm level; it can also precisely measure concentrations of up to 100%.

Application packages

Applications packages for the ZSX are designed to provide turn key solutions for your application problems. The Rigaku applications department has done all the work for you, setting up standards, running them, optimizing the calibration curves and programming check standards. Thus, all the operator has to do for a seamless startup is to prepare a few recalibration standards in the same manner as the unknowns and follow the instructions included in the applications manual. All of this is easily accomplished in a few hours. Rigaku will supply the software which will be integrated into the ZSX software, any setup standards required and a detailed instruction manual, basically, everything you will need to get your spectrometer on line in the shortest possible time. Applications packages can be purchased with the spectrometer or separately as your needs change. Each package is complete for a specific type of analysis. The packages include applications ranging from oil analysis to stainless steels. Rigaku also has master matching libraries available for use with the SQX (semi-quantitative analysis) software. These matching libraries will come pre-loaded with the instrument and can dramatically improve your semi-quantitative analysis results for similar matrices.
