Rigaku Expands European Presence with Berlin Company
Tokyo, Japan — August 3, 2010. Rigaku Corporation (Tokyo, Japan) is pleased to announce the foundation of a locally incorporated company in Berlin as of August 3, 2010. This new European company, Rigaku Europe SE, is located at Gross-Berliner Damm 151, 12487 Berlin, Germany.
Rigaku Europe SE is primarily tasked with providing a central location for sales and service activities in mainland Europe, including Eastern European countries.
By March 2014, sales revenue is expected to increase by 40% from its March 2010 levels. EU member states in Eastern Europe, such as the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Hungary, are making significant investments in science and technology. A large number of factories are being built as a result of these investments, and Rigaku expects that both the research investment and the accompanying factories will drive a significant increase in demand for its analytical instruments.
The German office will also enable Rigaku to offer new levels of service to its sales agencies and customers in Russia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Along with the objective of offering increased support to regional agencies, Rigaku Europe SE will be partnering with a German agency with manufacturing capabilities in order to provide custom-built X-ray diffractometers precisely engineered to meet customers' specific needs.
