Evolved gas and kinetic Analysis of acetylsalicylic acid

TA-6017: Evolved gas and kinetic Analysis of acetylsalicylic acid

Thermogravimetry-Mass spectrometry (TG-MS) is a crucial analytical system for the investigation of thermal decomposition, H₂O contents, and reaction process under the certain temperature.

In this investigation, we detected the evolved gases from acetylsalicylic acid upon heating by Thermo Mass Photo. Furthermore, we estimated the activation energy and the reaction time.

Thermo Mass Photo combines simultaneous thermal analysis with mass spectrometry. This technique is suitable for the qualitative analysis of  evolved gases coincident with the STA signal.

In TG-FTIR, gases evolved by volatilization or thermal decomposition are qualitatively analyzed, which allows you to track changes in the generated amount along with the temperature change.
