The OCP is also responsible for some key projects for Rigaku’s long-term sustainable growth and preparation for an IPO and beyond. Due to an increase in activity level and a need for greater interaction with Rigaku’s overseas group companies, the OCP is looking to make several new hires.

- Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Project: Looking towards an IPO, Rigaku has launched a cross-company ESG project to ensure that the company can meet the standards expected of a listed company. The ESG project will lead the company in implementing key initiatives in areas such as CO₂ emission reduction, supply chain risk management, improved reporting on environmental and social indicators, and other areas needed to meet the requirements of the modern investor.
- Supporting communication with Rigaku’s overseas subsidiaries: This initiative aims to provide stronger information flow between Rigaku HQ and the overseas group companies. This requires work with senior stakeholders in Japan and each of our regional subsidiaries.
