Responsibilities:
- Maintains the Quality Management System
- Creates and maintains BOMs for company products.
- Documents and implements ECOs.
- Creates and maintains product and process database and documentation in QMS / ERP system.
- Performs employee training associated with documentation release.
- Improves Manufacturing Processes
- Evaluates existing manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
- Develops new manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment. Works with R&D staff to transition new products to production.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; establishing standards and metrics; confirming manufacturing processes.
- Communicates quality issues to suppliers, identifying, prioritizing, and resolving quality issues.
- Performs internal and external Quality Audits
- Manages NCRs, CARs, SCARs, and RMAs
- Job responsibilities may change with business needs.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- Required: 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Required: In-depth experience with quality management systems and procedures. Experience in continuous improvement, process control, structured problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Required: Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Preferred: Working knowledge of CAD software.
