East Coast Regional Account Manager

Rigaku is at the forefront of analytical x-ray instrumentation. With hundreds of major innovations to its credit, Rigaku and its subsidiary companies are world leaders in the field of scientific X-ray instrumentation.

The chosen applicant will be responsible for capital equipment sales of Single Crystal X-ray Diffraction and Small Angle X-ray Scattering instruments for the measurement and study of small molecules and proteins using these methods in the East Coast region of the United States. 

The ideal candidates should have proven skills and a track record of success in technical and consultative scientific instrument sales.  Strong knowledge relating to the field of X-ray instrumentation and experience with its methods and applications would be beneficial.

Job Requirements
Must be knowledgeable in the buying and selling process of scientific instruments with the ability to effectively communicate and sell the merits of Rigaku x-ray instruments to the benefit of our existing and prospective customers.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, work independently, and be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.  An outgoing personality with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic are desired.  Computer literacy is required with use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs as well as the Salesforce.com customer relationship management database. Travel of 50% or more of the time is required within the territory on a consistent basis in addition to domestic travel outside of territory for trade shows, conferences, sales meetings, and hosting customer visits to headquarters. 

Territory
The East Coast territory includes the States of CT, ME, MA, NY, NH, RI, VT, NJ, DC, DE, MD, VA, NC in the United States, and the Provinces of QC, NB, NL, NS, PE in Canada.  The ideal candidate will currently reside in the Northeast US.

Education and Experience
A Bachelors degree in the Physical Sciences or Engineering at a minimum is required.  The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of sales experience.  Sales experience within the scientific instrument industry is ideal.
