POSITION:                   Manager - Regional Account East Coast 

Rigaku Americas Corporation, a global supplier of innovative analytical instruments for cutting-edge applications in biotechnology, is currently seeking to hire an East Coast Regional Account Manager for the sales of Single Crystal X-ray & Electron Diffraction instruments for molecular structure determination in the East Coast region of the United States.

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge relating to the field of Crystallography, X-ray Diffraction or Electron Microscopy instrumentation, and experience with its methods and applications. The East Coast territory includes ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA, DC, DE, MD, VA, NC, and SC.  The ideal candidate will currently reside in the Northeast US. 

Job Requirements:

Must be knowledgeable in the buying and selling process of scientific instruments with the ability to effectively communicate and sell the merits of Rigaku x-ray instruments to the benefit of our existing and prospective customers.  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, work independently, and be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.  An outgoing personality with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic are desired.  Computer literacy is required with use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs as well as the customer relationship management database. Travel of 50% or more of the time is required within the territory on a consistent basis in addition to domestic travel outside of territory for trade shows, conferences, sales meetings, and hosting customer visits to headquarters.


The East Coast territory includes the States of ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA, DC, DE, MD, VA, NC, and SC in the United States. The ideal candidate will currently reside in the Northeast US.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in the Physical Sciences at a minimum is required. A PhD in Chemistry is preferred.

Sales experience is strongly preferred.
