Description

Rigaku Corporation, a global supplier of innovative analytical instruments for cutting-edge applications in biotechnology, is currently looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. The accounts receivable position will work in a fast-paced and team-oriented atmosphere while servicing the accounting needs of a dynamic company with multiple locations. Candidates for this role have to be able to demonstrate a strong accounts receivable knowledge, MS Excel skills, good judgement and problem-solving skills. They should be a self-starter having the initiative and ability to prioritize, plan, and organize their tasks to meet approaching deadlines. All daily activities must be performed with the highest ethical standards, confidentiality and integrity. Candidates must have effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with customer setup in ERP system (i.e., ensuring appropriate documentation and approvals are received and saved on network)
  • Prepare invoices related to service department activity (i.e., field service orders, spare parts, and extended warranty contracts)
  • Prepare working file folders related to system/equipment sales (i.e., salesmans quote, customer order and customers purchase order)
  • Assist in setup of Invoice and Revenue Milestones for system/equipment sales
  • Assist with invoicing and revenue recognition for system/equipment sales
  • Primary person responsible for the AR Help Desk
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and outstanding balance
  • Send statements to customers with outstanding balances
  • Provide invoice documentation for audits
  • Assist with cash application
  • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned
  • Assist A/P Dept. in distributing mail and scanning A/P paper invoices to the AP ticket system
  • Assisting A/P specialist with the printing and mailing of checks/

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of prior A/R experience is preferred
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable, self-motivated and strong work ethic
  • Proficient in data entry
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • General knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Interact with customers, vendors, managers and employees at all levels of the organization
