X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) Sales Manager, US and Canada

Rigaku Americas Corporation, a leading worldwide supplier of analytical X-ray instrumentation, is seeking a CT (computed tomography) Sales Manager for the US and Canada. The CT Sales Manager works alongside the regional sales account managers, advising them on sales strategies and providing customers with consultation throughout the purchasing process. The position will report to the Vice President of Sales. The ideal location is Houston, TX; however, other cities in the US may be considered. The position requires up to 70% travel inside the US and Canada. A competitive compensation package including company car and benefits is offered.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year College Degree.
  • Previous experience selling industrial (non-medical or -clinical) micro-CT scanners.
  • Previous experience managing a sales team is ideal but not necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience with public speaking and presenting skills to large groups is required.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com CRM would be an advantage, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Selling X-ray CT scanners in Materials Science and Life Science fields. Knowledge of X-ray CT instrumentation and analysis would be an asset.
  • Managing the regional sales account manager’s activities surrounding individual prospective customers to ensure appropriate consultation is provided to customers, necessary follow-ups are executed promptly, and all involved Rigaku team members understand the customer’s analytical needs, budget, time frame, and considered competition.
  • Prospect new customers by networking with people in targeted industries via social media, emails, web and in-person meetings, conferences, and tradeshows. Will also include giving product presentations and have lunch/dinner dates with customers to build a relationship and promote and sell Rigaku products.
  • Meet sales targets and growing sales by creating new customers, capturing competitors' customers, and retaining Rigaku customers.
  • Assisting the regional sales account managers in negotiating the final terms (price, warranty, delivery, conditions, etc.) of a contract.
  • Collaborating with the Director of X-ray Imaging to raise Rigaku brand awareness and generate leads. Knowledge of inbound marketing and LinkedIn marketing and prospecting would be advantageous but not a requirement.
