Rotating work schedule between RIT and school
Work: Apr-Jun and Oct-Dec
School: Jan-Mar and Jul-Sep

REPORTS TO: Yuriy Platonov

Seeking to fill a half-time College Co-op position. As a College Co-op you will have an opportunity to apply your academic discipline in a manufacturing environment. This position is a support role, and it is hands on and technical in nature. You will provide daily support and have interaction with various departments. Our tight-knit Coatings/R&D Team will give you one-on-one mentoring and allow you to build a strong skill set and apply classroom teachings to real life experience while you obtain your degree. You will be engaged in key projects and initiatives to drive and improve current processes. While partnered with a mentor/coach, ultimately, you will support our Scientists in day-to-day efficient operations.


  • Support R&D with day to day tasks
  • Interpret blueprints
  • Engineering change requests
  • Use of CAD software
  • Inputting of tooling information, orders, min/max, jobs
  • Tracking of tooling manufacture Knowledge

Skills & Abilities Required:

  • High School diploma or GED & currently enrolled in a 4 year college program
  • Preferred course of study: Chemistry
  • GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
  • Previous engineering and robotics experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong attention to details and accuracy of information
  • Strong organization and administrative skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to time management
