The Service Contracts Sales Representative will develop the book of business, retain, and service existing clients. This position will be responsible for driving consultative service contract sales, educating clients on Rigaku products, and delivering unmatched service, while continually meeting commitments. Evaluate current strategy and propose recommendations through use of intuition and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None


  • Generate and develop new business to meet specified business objectives.
  • Sell the organization’s service contracts to existing and new customers.
  • Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of Rigaku Service product information.
  • Emphasize service contract abilities based on analyses of customer needs, and on knowledge of product capabilities and limitations.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals.
  • knowledgeably communicate information regarding company products and service contracts.
  • Continually gather information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicate information to management and others as needed.
  • Ensure that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports as required.
  • Attend and participate in team strategic sales meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Must be a self-starter and proactive.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
  • Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence. 
  • Versatile, flexible, and willing to handle constant changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (Business Administration or equivalent, Preferred
  • One to two years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Continually required to sit
  • Continually required to talk and listen
  • Continually utilize visual acuity read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
